For better or worse, Smart Phones have basically become part of who we are. We almost feel naked when they aren’t with us. For that reason, we choose to embrace them as simply a tool, like any other, to make our lives better and more productive. In this post, we’ll review 5 free apps we can leverage to help us stay organized.
Read all the way to the bottom for an extra bonus tip to track how many hours we’re actually spending on our phones and which apps we’re using the most. Enjoy!
Bonus Tip!!
Do you know how much time you spend on your phone every day? Every week? How is that time divided between your apps? Do you know how much time you spend on Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram, or WhatsApp?
I checked a while back and was shocked at the amount of time I was wasting. I decided to set a goal for myself and reduce the overall amount of time I spent on my phone from 6 hours a day to 4 hours a day. Simply by checking and being conscious I achieved this goal after 1 month and also switched my consumption time from social media apps to reading the news, responding to email, and learning French on Duolingo! Comment ça va? Je vais bien!
How do you check? See below, first for iPhone and then for Android:
For iPhone: As of the writing of this post (Version: iOS 12.2), click “Settings” and scroll down to “Battery,” There you can see your usage for “Last 24 Hours” and “Last 9 Days” by percentage of battery usage and number of hours. It will also show you “Screen On” and “Screen Off” times.
For Android: As of the writing of this post (Version: Android 9.0 Pie), click “Settings” -> “About Phone” -> “Battery Use.” Here will be able to see how much time you’re spending on your phone in general and on which apps specifically as well as what percentage of your battery is being used for which app.
